Rae Broyles, a Fine Artist based in the Atlanta area, is a Mixed Media and Encaustic Painter. Rae Broyles is a 5th generation painter, born in Chicago to Ray Raedel, a student of Norman Rockwell. She studied illustration and painting at Rhode Island School of Design and The American Academy of Art in Chicago. She has studied in the South of France and also under the mentorship of Michael David who has works in the permanent collections at The Guggenheim Museum and Metropolitan Museum of Art. Rae has taught at various schools in the southeast as well as the Fine Arts Workshop in Atlanta. She shows her work at galleries though out the US and in Canada. Her work has gained national recognition in various shows including the National Encaustic Show “Embedded Light” in Grosse Pointe Michigan. Rae was a founding member of The Southeastern Encaustic Artists. Raes studio is currently in Roswell, GA.
